About The Plough and Stars

The ambiance is your “typical Irish pub.” I hate to admit it, but this cliche provides a pretty good description, and it’s not a bad thing.

A big space that remains impressively cozy, The Plough and Stars is outfitted with memorabilia and decorations straight out of Ireland.

On weekend afternoons it’s a good place to enjoy a leisurely Irish breakfast and at night, it turns into a louder, rambunctious place full of young hipsters playing pool and downing Guinness. The music ranges from the expected (Irish folk, acoustic bands), to the decidedly unexpected: reggae, old school punk, and – every Tuesday – a jazz trio called Attack of Le Pigeon.

Plough and Stars Prices

The Plough and Stars is a pub with the added bonus of featuring live musicians, so most of the time there is no cover-charge – as long as you pay for some food, or a couple of pints you are golden.

Quick Tip:

Make sure you understand what black and white pudding (comprised of pig’s blood, barley, oats and beef fat) is before you order the Irish Breakfast.
