About North Station

North Station, located in Boston, Massachusetts, is an easy gateway into the city for Cambridge visitors. It is Boston’s second most frequented terminal for Amtrak and MBTA trains.

Additionally, North Station boasts a variety of other transportation outlets, including water taxi, the Orange Line, the Green Line (one stop away from Cambridge’s Lechmere neighborhood), and a commuter rail line to areas such as Stoughton, Sharon, Needham, Framingham, and Worcester, Massachusetts.

Underneath the station is Boston’s TD Garden, a concert venue frequented by many famous celebrities, including Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Miley Cyrus.

To access Cambridge from North Station, all visitors need to do is take the Green Line to Lechmere, the 66 off the orange or green line, or transfer to the red line, for easy access to areas such as Harvard Square.
