Irving House began as a two-family residence in the 1890s, but was converted into a cozy bed & breakfast in the 1920s. The hotel is located on a quiet street close to the Irving House Harvard Squareheart of Harvard Square and is catered towards couples, families, and all types of people looking for a pleasant stay in Cambridge.

The inn offers 44 different rooms of six different types: single with shared bath, two twin beds with shared bath, full bed with private bath, queen bed with private bath, family room, and long term stay rooms.

There are also a wide range of amenities provided, including a delicious and locally sourced breakfast, afternoon snacks, and shared computers with Internet access. The hotel also offers amenities not usually found in big-name hotels, such as a guest refrigerator, books around the house that guests are free to take, umbrellas to borrow, no charge for children under seven, postcards you can send anywhere in the world at no cost to you.

For an extra fee , Irving House also offers laundry and Wellbridge Athletic Club passes. The hotel aims to do everything they can to make guests feel as if they’re right at home.
