About The Dance Complex
The Dance Complex is an organization run entirely by artists who devote themselves to dance and to the art of movement.
The Dance Complex offers a home for the local dance community, providing an opportunity to take challenging classes in all styles of dance. In addition, the Dance Complex provides a space for rehearsals, performances, and meetings, comfortably housing the dance community of Boston.
History of The Dance Complex
The creation of the Dance Complex came from necessity to keep the Odd Fellows Hall within the dance community. fter the previous owners of the Odd Fellows Hall declared bankruptcy, local dancers could not accept the loss of such a historic monument, and therefore rallied together to save the building. The Dance Complex purchased the Odd Fellows Hall in 1991 and still houses a fantastic space for dancers today.
The organization is a vital component of the dance community in the Boston area. It serves the community for the movement artists through a number of services.
They offer classes in every style of dance, from ballet to hip-hop to modern to salsa.
In addition to the large variety of classes, the Dance Complex hosts a number of workshops, auditions, performances, programs, and studio rentals.
