The Stage Where Stars are Born
The ADC Theatre is owned by the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club, a group that was founded in 1855 and held its first performance in the same year. This Cambridge University Theatre seats over two hundred people, and includes a bar that opens forty-five minutes before the show.
The ADC Theatre is an iconic Cambridge location; it housed such Cambridge University acting greats as Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Derek Jacobi, Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, and dozens of notable directors.
The ADC Theatre occasionally offers workshops to teach the finer aspects of theatre, and there are plenty of opportunities to get involved whether your interests lie in acting, directing, producing, or any other aspect of theatre.
