Between Emmanuel Road and Milton Walk
Tennis, Bowling, Playgrounds, and More!
Christ’s Pieces is another one of the many parks in Cambridge that has plenty to do for all ages. Locals and tourists alike find this park an ideal seasonal hang-out. The park contains open lawns ideal for sports and picnics, beautiful trees that offer shade in the summer months and picturesque colors in the fall, and lovely flower beds surrounding the various paths.
Before being turned into a park in the late 1800s, Christ’s Pieces was farmland suitable for growing crops, and then in later years a pasture where cattle could graze. Today, it is one of the most popular parks in Cambridge, serving as a convenient throughway between the city centre and the Grafton area.
Christ’s Pieces is home to free tennis courts, a children’s playground, and a bowling green. With protection and funding from the Christ’s Pieces Resident Association, the park now has a renovated playground, a stronger security presence, and less litter than ever before.
Christ’s Pieces is proud to have a little something for everyone, helping to enrich the uniqueness of this brimming city.
