The Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society (CUMTS) is the perfect venue for musical theatre enthusiasts attending college in Cambridge. It encourages students to learn about and actively engage in on-stage performances ranging from “informal cabaret-style Bar Nights to full blown stage musicals.”
Members of the CUMTS can participate in the student-run organization both on-stage and behind the curtains by working as musicians, performers, technicians, or production team members. So no matter what the student’s specific interest might be or the level of experience they may have, all members are free to audition for any part of the productions and gain practice and understanding of the performance world.
Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society Membership
By paying a fee of £10, students from Cambridge can become active members of CUMTS until graduation. Aside from being a prerequisite for participation in shows, membership also offers discounts and prioritized access to events such as workshops and trips.
