Formerly known as Improvised Comedy Ents (ICE), the Cambridge Impronauts are the University of Cambridge’s improvisational comedy society. Formed in 2003, this group was originally an addition to existing troupe The Comedy Iceberg, but since then has become the premiere comedy organisation at the University.
The Impronauts offer workshops as well performance opportunities for university students throughout the school year. They welcome all levels of experience and allow members to build their comedy chops while being lenient on their level of commitment to the society. With their emphasis on both short-form and long-form improv, the group offers a variety of ways for aspiring comedians to gain new skills.
The Cambridge Impronauts perform at many different venues all around Cambridge, and their skills have even taken them to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. They host weekly improv workshops where participants are encouraged practice being on stage and play improv games.
