Main University Library
The Main University Library (also known as the UL) houses over 8 million books, journals and other literary resources. The Library is open Monday to Friday 9.00-19.00, and 9.00-16:45 on Saturdays. Take a 45 minute tour to get associated with the building or check out the online floor plan. The UL is just one of the many libraries at Cambridge.
The Anderson Room contains music reading, both visual and audio. There are computer terminals, card catalogues,various devices, such as cassets, DVDs and CDs, and an electronic piano that visitors can use with headphones.
East Asian Reading Room
The East Asian Reading room houses over 200 periodicals, which consist mostly of Japanese, Chinese and Korean collections.
The Main University Library also houses many departments, such as the manuscripts and archives reading room, the map department, general reading rooms and more.
It also houses photocopiers, a tea room, and many areas to connect to wireless internet.
The University has departmental and faculty libraries as well as affiliated libraries at nearby universities and colleges.
