Harmogeddon A Cappella

Lesley’s Harmogeddon A Cappella

Harmogeddon was Lesley University‘s only a cappella group until the formation of Ladies First in 2014.  Founded in 2006, Harmogeddon has since grown to be one of the most impressive college a cappella groups in Boston, competing in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella in 2014.

Harmogeddon, affectionately known to the student body as “Harmo,” is a small group of the university’s best vocalists who rehearse for about seven hours per week, and it shows.  Back in 2010, they had the honor of opening for The Radio City Christmas Spectacular show at the Wang Theater in Boston.

In addition to hosting two annual performances, Harmogeddon attends competitions and hosts invitationals for other local groups.  At these invitationals, other a cappella groups from Boston-area schools perform sets in a non-competitive setting.  Lesley has hosted schools such as Harvard University, Northeastern University, and Emerson College.

Harmo covers all genres of music, from the Beatles to Rihanna.  Some of their most memorable performances include Ingrid Michaelson’s “The Chain” and Gavin DeGraw’s “Sweeter.”  As a co-ed a cappella group with a wide range of vocals and beat-boxing, Harmogeddon has no limitations.
