The Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) is located in the heart of Harvard Square, accessible by the red line train and various bus routes.

The Sunken Garden, a beautiful common area featuring a lush fountain, as well as the Cambridge Common, a historical site and public park, surround HGSE, making for a beautiful campus experience.

HGSE offers its graduate programs to a variety of applicants. They range from recent undergrads to those who have been educators for most of their lives.

HGSE has produced many vital leaders of education, such as Gerald S. Lesser, a emeritus professor at the HGSE and chief adviser of the curriculum in Sesame Street.
