About the Harvard Graduate School of Education Campus
The Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) is located in the heart of Harvard Square. It is accessible by the red line train and various bus routes.
The Sunken Garden, a beautiful common area featuring a lush fountain, is right around the corner from HGSE.
The Cambridge Common also borders most of HGSE. This Common, while being a popular place to kick around a ball or play frisbee, is also a historical site.
It was in the Cambridge Common that General George Washington gathered troops in a famous American Revolutionary War moment.
In addition to the monument held up in memory of this moment, the Cambridge Common also features the Irish Famine Memorial and a statue of Abraham Lincoln, as seen above.
