Orinoco is a Latin kitchen, located in the beautiful Harvard Square. It is inspired by the “taguaritas,” which are family-run eateries found along the roads of Venezuela in South America.
The restaurant was opened with the hopes of bringing authentic Latin America food (and a little bit of the culture as well) to Boston and Cambridge area diners.
The restaurant is run by native Venezuelans who know the food and are excited to be sharing it with guests. There are two locations: one in Boston, one in Harvard Square.
Their menu includes tried and true family recipes that are prepared with local ingredients. The menu includes traditional Latin American dishes such as bacon-wrapped and almond-filled dates, plantains, arepas, empanadas, and yucca. They also offer specialty fruit juices in tropical flavors.

Orinoco also offers “Arepa Parties,” where guests can create their own arepas for a truly unique celebration. We recommend starting every meal with a signature arepa. Want to learn more about Orinoco? Click on the video above to take an insider’s look at their location in the South End of Boston.
