About John Harvard’s Brewery
33 Dunster Street
John Harvard’s Brewery and Ale House is known for its brews and its tribute to the restaurant’s namesake, John Harvard.
The restaurant was opened in 1992 in honor of John Harvard’s life and based on some old recipes they found of his years after his death. John Harvard began helping out in his family’s tavern early on in his life, and thus beer became a huge part of who he was.
The brewmasters at John Harvard’s do their best to keep that passion alive. Their brews are made onsite, making them a truly unique establishment.
The restaurant also has an extensive menu consisting of traditional bar food and an abundance of seafood. John Harvard’s is located in the historic Harvard Square area, which matches perfectly their historic nature.
