For rich and creamy frozen yogurt in Cambridge, BerryLine is our top pick.

This Harvard Square-based local shop gives a whole new meaning to “healthy dessert”—it’s sweet, it’s flavorful, and oh yeah, it’s actually good for you.

BerryLine frozen yogurt contains over 40 million active probiotics per ounce. Probiotics help maintain a strong immune system. In 2011, Yale University revealed that they also treat many common ailments.

Because of their success, the owners opened up a second Cambridge location in Porter Square at 1668 Massachusetts Avenue.

How to Order

This froyo place is self-serve, which means you grab a bowl, head over to the machines, and twist your favorite flavors in.

You then can choose from a variety of toppings to sprinkle your masterpiece with. Load up on toppings. You’re charged by weight, not how many there are.

BerryLine Frozen Yogurt Flavors

BerryLineThe flavors change seasonally, but you can count on trying their Original Tart, Watermelon, Raspberry Fudge, and Caramel Toffee. In Porter Square, load ‘er up with Chocolate Coconut, Cantaloupe, and Raspberry Lime.

As for toppings, BerryLine is all about the berries. They use fresh ingredients that are locally sourced.

If froyo ain’t your thing, don’t worry about it. Order a smoothie at BerryLine, a hot drink, or even a tasty, chewy Belgian waffle—mmm, good!

BerryLine is owned and operated by two very best friends, Pok Yang and Matthew Wallace. They originally studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology but swapped the life of lab-intensive science for a life of scientific yogurt discovery.
