About Shake Shack

92 Winthrop St
Harvard Square
(617) 758-8495

The name is misleading. It has shakes, sure, but this shack is no shack and it’s arguably more famous for its tasty burgers. Shake Shack, located in Harvard Square, is the newest burger joint in the Cambridge area.

It’s got everything, from grilled meat to hand-cut fries and more. Take a peek inside the restaurant and decide for yourself if you’re going to hit the shack.

A Burger Lover’s Menu Heaven

Shake Shack has a variety of burgers. Their meat is 100% Angus beef and it’s very quality. Delight in traditional favorites like the ShackBurger with lettuce, tomato, and their signature Shack sauce, or opt for a vegetarian ‘Shroom burger (crisp-fried portobello mushroom with melted muenster cheese) or added applewood smoked bacon.

If burgers aren’t your thing, Shake Shack has hotdogs for the whole family. Choose from a chicken dog or an all-beef dog, topped with fresh and local relish, onion, cucumber, pickle, and more.

Shake Shack is a NYC chain, but don’t let the Yankees v. Red Sox debate fool you; this stuff is good.

The Harvard Square location was the first to roll out hand-cut fries which have made the burger stop a local favorite. You can also order them as cheesy fries, but we think they’re pretty snazzy as is.

Of course, there’s shakes and custards. Get a cup or a cone, either way, make sure you get one.

The Harvard Square location has unique-to-Cambridge favorites like the MInT chocolate custard (a play on MIT) and the Lobstah Shell, made with a lobster shell pastry.

For those 21+, Shake Shack also has their special ShackMeister Ale or red and white wine. You can also grab some for the pooches back home. Take a Bag o’ Bones for Fido—Shake Shack is a place for everyone.
