Shakespeare at Harvard Square

On April 23rd, visit the 9th annual Bookish Ball and Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebration at Harvard Square. This event is family and wallet friendly, as it combines the festivities for Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary (of dying, but don’t let that spoil the mood). Not only will there be birthday activities, but the event is mobile, as it goes from bookstore to bookstore, with the players from Cambridge’s Historical Tours as your guides.

Get Involved

A great way to get involved in this event is to register to be a speaker, and be able to read one of Shakespeare’s 154 sonnets. All will be read during the festivities, and registration is free; click here to add your voice to this festival of a centuries-wide literature legend. At 3:30, you can even enjoy the sounds of sonnets with some birthday cake at Brattle Plaza.
