Mayfair is a classic springtime event that includes dancing, food and fun! This year marks the 33rd annual celebration, and will be held on May 15th in Harvard Square. After a dreary winter and several warm weather false starts, Mayfair is a great way to welcome in the sunny days to come.
Events and Offers
There’s an event or two for all ages: from crafts and sidewalk chart art for the younger attendees, to beer gardens and art installations for a mature cultural experience, Mayfair is the merriest way to spend a Sunday in Cambridge.
Plus, if you want to bring some of this springtime fun with you when it’s over, over 120 local merchants and artisans will be selling their creations, such as jewelry, shoes and vintage clothes.
Not only does Mayfair provide fun for thousands of people, it also gives back to the local Cambridge community. As a part of the event, local artists will showcase their work through sponsored sidewalk chalk art installations. Some of the proceeds will go to charities and scholarships in the area. This stretch of one-of-a-kind chalk art, which is a practice that dates back to the Italian Renaissance, can be found on Church Street.
