Watch a Patriots Game: Buying Tickets
First and most importantly, remember to purchase tickets for the game in advance. Official game tickets are sold out almost as soon as they go on sale—but fret not, season-ticket holders and resale tickets can be found on StopHub and AceTicket the following weeks. Both of these websites are reliable places to find them, and although they might be expensive it’s definitely worth it to make sure that they’re legal and approved.
Watch a Patriots Game: Getting There
One of the appeals of Gillette Stadium is its location—although further away than say, Fenway Park or TD Garden, the football field is a good distance away from the hectic vibe of the city. It is exactly the distant location—Foxborough—that allows for the beautiful New England landscape to welcome you to one of the games of the season.
It is also helpful that public transportation is pretty accessible: the MBTA offers a special train service to and from Gillette Stadium. For only $15, you can purchase a round trip ticket to board the train at South Station, Back Bay, or North Station. Once you get to Gillette, the train will drop you off in a perfect spot, only 5 minutes away from the entrance of the stadium. Departure takes place 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. For exact times and more information, visit the MBTA official website.
It’s important to consider the stadium’s rules and regulations, which include the ban of bags larger than 12 x 12 x 6 (plastic, transparent bags that are acceptable can be purchased at the ProShop or Patriot Place).

Find your seat, take a look around at the beautiful stadium, and prepare to be amazed by what is sure to be another great game by the Pats. Even though you’re already experiencing what you’re there to do, take advantage of the scenario and truly embrace the spirit of the sporting event by treating yourself to a nice, warm hot chocolate and hot dog or chili cheese fries.
But don’t let the end of the game be the end of your day. Make sure to visit the ProShop and The Hall at Patriot Place, the Patriots’ museum with a brief history lesson of the team, memorabilia displays, and interactive exhibits where you’ll get to try on different football equipment, and even the Super Bowl ring!
