This year-long series is continued with three other events just like this one. Learn about The Tomato on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, The Herb on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 and The Mushroom on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
About “The Strawberry”
Learn about this delectable fruit from Master Gardener Susan Hammond and Dr. Barbara Shukitt-Hale, PhD–Neuroscience and Aging Lab.
In addition to learning about the strawberry, you’ll get a demo and tasting of strawberry recipes by a BCAE instructor and Cambridge.com blogger Leah Dickerson.
Enjoy strawberry Bellini’s, strawberry and lemon orzo, strawberry ricotta bruschetta, and taste (and see!) the difference between local and commercial strawberries.
This is an event that you won’t want to miss. Visit the BCAEs website to register; the event costs $15.
