I love mustard, so when I heard about this event, I just had to share.

The French company Maille and Cambridge local Sandrine’s Bistro are teaming up on Thursday, July 3 to offer you a free tasting of the finest mustard on the planet.

About Maille

Maille mustard has been around for over 265 years. It was only natural that Sandrine’s, a local Cambridge favorite, and Maille, a European French favorite, have collaborated. Created in 1747 by Antoine Maille, La Maison Maille finds its origins in the city of Dijon, France.

“I sure do love this free food tour!”

The mustard has been beloved by royalty, including King Louis XV of France and Empress Catherine of Russia.

You can be like royalty too and head out to Sandrine’s to taste the fine mustard. Maille is launching for the first time its American taste tour, after operating successful locations in Paris, Dijon, and London.

Join Maille on their bi-coastal summer road trip with its Maille Mustard Mobile (MMM). You will have the opportunity to taste up to five different varieties of gourmet condiments on the journey.

At the Cambridge event, you will get to sample and snack your own palette of flavors. You’ll be able to share tastes with friends and compare favorites.

(And if you love the mustard, buy your own! Click here.)

The event will be from 2 pm to 8 pm. At 6 pm, Chef Raymond Ost of Sandrine’s Bistro will prepare gourmet, complimentary Maille mustard bites that will have your taste buds singing while supplies last.

And in case you will be in Cape Cod this weekend, don’t miss the MMM at one of these great Massachusetts locations:

  • Saturday, July 5, Stop & Shop, 24 Route 6A (Cranberry Cove Plaza), Orleans (12 am – 5 pm)
  • Sunday July 6, Stop & Shop, 500 Route 134, Dennis (12 am – 5 pm)

Sandrine’s Bistro is located in Harvard Square at 8 Holyoke Street.
